  • Dock to Stock (DTS)
DTS is a receiving method whereby materials are delivered directly to point of use (storage or manufacturing), skipping the normal receiving inspection. For most organizations, parts which are given a DTS status are those which have been “proven” to be compliant. C&M has earned this rapport with many of our customers as a result of consistently high quality ratings and fostering a culture of partnership.
  • Design for X (DFX)
DFX is a term where the X represents several traits or features including: manufacturability, cost, yield, or reliability. Similarly, other disciplines may associate other traits, attributes, or objectives for X. C&M partakes in many projects with our customers to improve one or many of these factors to help our customer make a better product at a lower cost.
  • Inventory Management
Inventory management is the practice of overseeing and controlling the ordering, storage, and use of components that a company uses in the production of the items it sells. Inventory management is also the practice of overseeing and controlling the quantities of finished products for sale. C&M’s inventory management system is one of its major assets, and represents an investment that is tied up until the item sells. We use the lean principles of Kanban and Just-In-Time (JIT) in conjunction with our ERP inventory control system to make sure that our customers get what they need, when they need it.
  • Laser Engraving
Laser engraving is a process where the laser beam physically removes the surface of the material to expose a cavity that reveals an image at eye level. The laser creates high heat during the engraving process, which essentially causes the material to vaporize. It’s a quick process, as the material is vaporized with each pulse. C&M uses this technique to impart identifying marks on parts that we manufacture. This includes part numbers, lot numbers, date codes, supplier ID marks, logos, trademarks, and many more.
  • Laser Welding
Laser Welding is a non-contact process which requires access to the weld zone from only one side of the parts being welded. The laser weld is formed as the intense laser light rapidly heats the material in milliseconds. C&M uses this technique to adhere like metals with precise accuracy.
  • Specialized Washing Techniques
C&M washes parts in many ways including vapor degreasing, aqueous washing, and non-aqueous washing. This ensures that our customers are getting contaminant free product with finishes.
